Kristin Elder paints from her imagination. She populates her pieces with people and beasts from forgotten stories and myths, and creates her own world of visual fairytales. She works primarily in watercolor on paper and oil on board. For a picture demonstration of her method of working in watercolor, click here. Kristin received her formal education at Union College in Lincoln, NE. She graduated summa cum laude in 2005 with a B.A. in studio art and an A.S. in graphic design. These days Kristin lives in southern New Mexico. She is currently working on a body of personal pieces. |
